Trauma can best be likened to a wolf that exists in your heart and mind in the garb of sheep's clothing. Much like in Aesop's fable, the wolf, when it cannot get at the sheep that were being guarded by a shepherd and his dogs, decided upon coming across a discarded sheep's skin, to don this new clothing and so was able to give the shepherd and his dogs the slip and could easily mingle with the sheep.
Appearances Can Be Deceptive
This made one of the lambs follow the wolf whom the latter soon devoured for his next meal and in doing so, found a simple way of deceiving the sheep, the shepherd and the dogs. Appearances can certainly be deceptive and the same is applicable for us humans. Often we are under the impression that we know the cause of things that make us struggle and in many instances these causes can even be very obvious to us. However, the truth of the fact is that we are, in many cases, unable to truly find out what is bothering us.

Conventional medical wisdom holds that hormones, not diet, are the main causes for the development of acne, particularly during the teenage years.
However, some interesting evidence now suggests a possible link between acne and obesity driven by eating a high-glycemic load diet. A recent review published in August in the dermatology journal Cutis indicates that acne may be promoted by the same kind of diet that triggers insulin resistance, a condition that can develop when the normal amount of insulin secreted is not sufficient to move glucose into the cells, causing an increase in both insulin and blood sugar levels. High insulin levels (hyperinsulinemia) affect the production of androgens (male hormones) and insulin growth factor 1, a hormone similar to insulin.
Together these two changes can increase production of sebum, an oil secreted in skin that plays a key role in the development of acne. So far, no studies have shown a direct link between acne and obesity, but some dermatologists are recommending that patients avoid foods that rank high on the glycemic index as a possible means of helping control acne. The study also noted that dairy foods have been associated with acne.
Smelly feet aren't the end of the world, but they can certainly make people self-conscious. Considering that there are more than a quarter of a million sweat glands in two feet - more than in any other part of the body, including the underarms - and that these glands release about a gallon of moisture per week, it's not surprising that over-the-counter treatments for foot odor are numerous and profitable.
